I want to thank all the families that joined us for the Book and Science Fair night! We had fun with bubbles and I enjoyed seeing all the hard work that went into those Science Projects. I was amazed at the different experiments and the thought process that went into those masterpieces! A huge shout-out to my staff that made it such a wonderful night.
I like to blog about the positive things going on at my school so with that in mind, I had a parent, Gina Franklin, tell one of my teachers how much the morning tutoring has helped her daughters Madison and Makayla. I have some teachers working extra hours to make sure our students are ready for the CRT's! It makes my heart happy when I hear about the difference we are making for not just these two, but for many of our students. Good things are happening here at Spanish Springs ES!
I hope to see many families and students at our first annual Family Dance! Monday, Feb. 13th, from 6-8PM!
Our kids enjoyed the bubble activities and are looking forward to the dance next week. All of these activities make us feel a part of the SSES community. Thanks to staff for all the extra work!

DeleteOh! Nice to see Gina's shout out for the teachers who are tutoring! And the Science/Book fair/Winterfest Luau was great fun! I saw LOTS of smiles as kids (and parents) came and went down A hall in particular. The pictures were so much fun - and the prints turned out beautifully! I love that the book fair is on that night too so that parents who might not be able to make it during the day have a chance to go there with their children. It was fun watching a few of the children dragging their parents into the library.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'd like to say how awesome I thought it was that the raffle prizes for Tuesday's Science/Book Fair night were. Truly, I think that letting the winners pick a book from the book fair was incredible! I know Rhys was overjoyed that he'd won. He knew exactly which book he wanted too! Thank you for having that great idea!
Kristen, thank you for always taking the time to add positive comments on the blog. I also thank you for always being at our school and supporting it, along with supporting your chidren's education. We are all lucky to have you.
